BJFL - 2020 SEASON Cancelled.

3 Aug 2020 by Nekti Tzouroutis

Good evening to our QHJFC players, parents, carers and families.
You would’ve already received the clubs email today to confirm the BJFL 2020 season has been cancelled due to the rapid
Covid -19 cases that have hit our community over the last week.
I want to take a little moment to thank all the players for their participation at training and on game day leading upto Rd 1&2. The enjoyment the kids all had to be able to get out and have a kick and run around with their friends and mates was fantastic to see by all.
Thank you to all the parents for trusting and adhering to the testing protocols that had been put in place before, during and after training and game day.
Thank you to all the parent volunteers on game day which included Coaches, Runners, Team managers, Time keepers , Medics, Covid officers and Goal umpires.
To the 2020 committee who are all
Parent Volunteers and brilliant people, our planning started late last year the season did not play out the way we where hoping but I can not thank you all enough for everything you have done to help co-ordinate the unusual season.
We will let the dust settle from here and in time I will send out another message to arrange the return of jumpers and helmets, and set up a day when we are legally able to meet and catch up at Ken Wust oval to also hand out the Hoodies etc.
Stay safe, take care of your loved ones and each other.
All the best

Hi Clubs,

As we advised last week, due to the spike in local Covid-19 cases, the matches and trainings across the region were halted. Together with recent announcements of Stage 3 Restrictions the Bendigo Bank Junior Football League (BJFL) will not resume in 2020.

AFL Central Victoria and the BJFL would like to thank all clubs for their contribution in ensuring the safety of one another through practicing thesafety protocols.
Although only brief the positives of offering sport to the community were shown in the smiles on the grounds throughout Rounds 1 and 2.

Personally I would like to thank you all for your contribution this year. In a very difficult season it was great to see the support and hard work from all clubs.

We look forward to working with you all in planning for a successful 2021 season.
I’ll be in touch in the near future around some final admin of the 2020 season.

Thanks

Nathan Williams
